I have an HP 23-C115XT All-in-one CTO Desktop, w/Windows 8 originally. I did a disk clean, repartition and wiped all my files. Apparently I wiped the autoexec.bat & config.sys files by mistake as well because the wireless network card doesn't work. Says drivers not loaded, and Windows 10 won't load drivers. How can I get this wireless network card to work. I assume the PCIe slot is enabled,  but not sure. Can anyone help with this issue. Maybe I  need a legacy autoexec.bat & config.sys  files with instructions to install in DOS. HELP! Albert albertrea@comcast.net

The parts list for your PC indicates that it could have come with 3 different model Wi-Fi cards.

I would imagine that your notebook came with one of the two Ralink model Wi-Fi cards if W10 didn't install the drivers for them because they are not supported for W10 and completely are non-existent in the device manager.

If a wireless card needs a driver, there would be a device listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.

If you don't see a Network Controller device listed in the device manager in need of a driver, then your only option would be to purchase a USB Wi-Fi adapter.

I use this one on my HP desktop. Works great on W10 and W11 and even has Bluetooth:

Yes, Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller card, WiFi only. No BT, on a desktop. It does show in Device Manager, but says drivers not installed, and Windows can't find any drivers.

You'll need to go with the USB wifi adapter then or connect via ethernet cable if your PC is conveniently located to your router's ethernet port.

Thank you Paul. Yeah it does work with eternity connection,  but I  want wireless. I purchase the USB dangle for WiFi & BT. Thanx, I appreciate you.
