I lost wireless connectivity and checked my device manager and noticed my wireless adapter was HIDDEN. Long story short I ended up uninstalling the network adapter and cannot get it back. I cannot update drivers through device manager as a result, and HP's driver packages are not at all suitable for windows 10 even when running in compatibility mode for their windows 7 and 8 drivers. I get to the end of the installation when it fails because it does not meat the minimum system requirements. I do not have a restore point dating back far enough to help me, and id rather not restore my computer back to its original settings if I can help it.
Any way to get the appropriate wireless adapter for windows 10? or use the legacy drivers on my current setup some way some how? Thank you kindly. I also apologize but it wouldnt let me post in the wireless networking category for some reason.

@DustyBacon -- if you restart your computer, and enter BIOS SETUP, is the wireless network adapter enabled? If so, disable it, and exit from Setup. Then, purchase a USB-to-WiFi network adapter, and connect it to a USB port, and use it to provide WiFi access.
Example: Netgear Wireless AC1200 Wi-Fi Dual Band USB Adapter (A6150-100PAS) | Best Buy Canada
under $40.
