Have an old HP Pavilion, recently had to move the wired router, TP link connecting to internet wirelessly but unable to set up connection to the computer, any idea what needs to be done pls?

Hi:

 

Did you install the Vista wifi driver for your specific model TP link wifi adapter?

 

If so, here is how you connect to the internet wirelessly in Windows Vista...

Hi a thank you for your reply. I have installed the TP link on the comp and can make it as far as step 5, once I enter the correct WiFi password, it doe not recognise it, so unable to go further to complete the connection...

You're very welcome.

 

I recommend you visit the TP Link website, and see if they have an updated driver for your model TP LInk wifi adapter.

 

It is possible the driver is too old to support WPA2 wifi security, because if you are entering the correct wifi password, it should automatically connect after a few seconds.
