I could not connect to Wifi so I carried out a HP network check on my laptop. The check shows that my wireless capability is turned off and asks me to turn on the wireless features on my laptop. However, when I go to the Network and Internet section in Settings, I could not turn the wireless device button on for some reason

@Jensen22, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Make sure the wireless key or button is enabled on the Notebook and the computer is not in Airplane mode.

In Windows, right-click the network connection icon in the system tray, and then select Troubleshoot problems.

  • Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard, select Device Manager.
  • In the list of devices, you should see the Network adapter.
  • Right-click on the wireless driver, and select "Uninstall".
  • Restart the computer. This will force the driver to reinstall itself.

If the issue persists, let us run a test on the wireless card

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  3. Perform Component Test > Network. Share the result on your next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
