@26skydiverTH, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Are you trying to connect the printer and the iPhone using WiFi Direct?

If you are using WiFi Direct, the default password is 12345678. if the password has been changed, print a network configuration report to retrieve the same.

On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button  and the Information button  at the same time.

Both a Network Configuration Page and a Wireless Network Test Report print.

Note: WiFi Direct connection is used when you do not have access to the wireless router and there will be no internet access on the iPhone.

For more info on connecting the printer via WiFi Direct, refer to this document.

If you have a wireless router, connect both these devices to the same wireless network and use Airprint to print.

Refer to this document for more info.

Let me know how this goes.
