I got me an updated old all-in-one HP and I can't connect it to WiFi, it can't find the router when I try to configure it. It only has a possibility for ethernet with cable and I don't have a cable.

Hi:
According to the product specs for your AIO PC, Wi-Fi was optional.
See page 5.
HP COMPAQ PRO 6300 ALL-IN-ONE PC (also.com)
You can purchase a dual band USB Wi-Fi adapter if you want to connect to a wireless network.

You're very welcome.
I have a USB Wi-Fi adapter connected to one of my desktop PC's.
It was supposed to have come with Wi-Fi but it didn't.
Rather than sending it back the seller gave me a small credit to cover the cost of purchasing a USB Wi-Fi adapter.
This is the model I purchased. Small and works great. Even has built in Bluetooth.
