Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw

My HP Laserjet Printer control panel is operating by itself, and it appears intentional rather than a malfunction. I have searched the HP threads and the common elements seem to be a Mac operating system and a color laserjet MFP printer with a touch panel. The date is being reset to a date in the past, and I'm not sure what other changes are being made. What steps can I take to lock out a remote user?
