Hi @ASHIKPD,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're facing persistent disconnection issues with your Realtek USB Ethernet adapter. Here are a few troubleshooting steps that may help resolve the problem.
Disable Power Saving Features:
- Open Device Manager and navigate to Network Adapters.
- Find the Realtek USB GbE Family Controller and double-click it.
- Go to the Advanced tab and locate the Idle Power Saving option.
- Set it to Disabled, then click OK and restart your laptop.
Check USB Ports:
- Ensure that the USB adapter is securely connected to a USB port. If possible, try different USB ports, particularly USB 3.0 ports, to see if the problem persists.
Update Drivers:
- Even if you've tried updating, it might help to uninstall the current driver completely and then reinstall it:
- Right-click the adapter in Device Manager, select Uninstall device, and check the box for "Delete the driver software for this device" if prompted.
- Restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Network Settings:
- You can also try resetting your network settings:
- Open Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
- Click on Network reset at the bottom. Note that this will remove all your network adapters and reset networking components.
Check for Interference:
- If you're using multiple devices connected to the same network, make sure that there's no interference or overload that might be causing the disconnection.
Test with Another Device:
- If possible, test the Ethernet adapter on another laptop or computer to determine if the issue is with the adapter itself or the specific setup on your HP Pavilion.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
