I want to replace the Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter that will not stay connected to the internet with the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 802.11ax 2 × 2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5.0.  Has anyone done this and did it solve the problem?  If the item above is not what I should use for a replacement can you recommend one?

Hi:

What you plan on doing should work fine but you need to order the non-vPro model of the Intel card.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro    HP part #L35282-005

You can find the above model Wi-Fi card on eBay.

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.

Before installing the Intel card, uninstall the Realtek Wi-Fi adapter and Bluetooth adapter in the device manager and check the uninstall driver boxes for each device.

Shut down, unplug the PC and install the Intel card.

Have you tried installing the latest driver for the Realtek card?

If not, this is the latest version:

2024.0.10.227

I found the HP part #L35282-005 at wal-Mart.com of all places and replace the cared for less that $20.00.  I had to wait a week for it to arrive.  The hardest part of swapping out the card was reconnecting the antenna wires.  Had to walk away from it a few times.   It has been 24 hours now and I have not lost connection.  I do not know why HP is selling faulty products when there is a reasonable fix.
