Hello. I recently reinstalled windows 11 on my laptop and everything was fine except for my internet. I can go on chrome and play online video games as per usual. If I hover the globe it says no internet access despite being able to do most stuff. I cant however use spotify and search for new songs.
Then I checked the device managers and noticed these under the event tab. I am not sure if this is the reason why my laptop thinks its offline but if so how can one start them again? Everything under the network adapters did not start. I am also not sure where else to look for the problem as I am fairly certain this is it but idk. Help blease.

Hi @sigma3131,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your laptop's network adapter might not be fully functional, which can lead to the issue where you can access some online services but not others. Here's how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.
Check Device Manager for Network Adapters:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Network adapters section.
- Look for any network adapters with a yellow triangle or red cross, indicating a problem.
Update Network Adapter Drivers:
- Right-click on each network adapter and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can visit our HP website to download the latest driver for your specific model.
Restart Network Adapter:
- In Device Manager, right-click on your network adapter and select Disable device.
- After disabling it, right-click again and select Enable device.
Check Network Connections:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet.
- Check the status of your network connection.
- Run the Network troubleshooter to identify and fix any issues.
Reset Network Settings:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Network & Internet > Status.
- Scroll down and click on Network reset.
- Follow the instructions to reset your network settings, then restart your laptop.
Check WAN Miniport Adapters:
- In Device Manager, under Network adapters, you might see multiple WAN Miniport entries (e.g., WAN Miniport (IP), WAN Miniport (IPv6), etc.).
- Right-click on each WAN Miniport and select Update driver or Uninstall device. After uninstalling, restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall them.

Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security.
- Click on Check for updates to ensure your system is up-to-date.
Check Event Viewer for Network-related Errors:
- Press Win + X and select Event Viewer.
- Navigate to Windows Logs > System.
- Look for any errors or warnings related to network issues and note the event IDs and details for further troubleshooting.
If you've followed these steps and still experience issues, consider performing a clean install of the network drivers.
- Download the latest network drivers from the HP support website for your OMEN Laptop 15.
- Uninstall the current network drivers from Device Manager.
- Restart your laptop.
- Install the downloaded drivers.
If the problem persists after these steps, there might be a deeper issue with your network configuration or hardware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
