Hi @sachinmr,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop's Wi-Fi is still not working despite updating the system and the Wi-Fi adapter, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check Wi-Fi Settings:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi and make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
Restart the Laptop:
- Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
Forget and Reconnect to Network:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and click Forget.
- Reconnect by selecting your network from the list of available networks and entering the password.
Run Windows Network Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter.
Update Network Drivers:
- Go to Device Manager (right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager).
- Expand Network adapters, right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter (MediaTek Wi-Fi 6), and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
Roll Back Driver:
- If a recent driver update might be causing the issue, you can roll back to the previous version.
- In Device Manager, right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter, select Properties, go to the Driver tab, and click Roll Back Driver if the option is available.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- Ensure that the Wi-Fi switch (if your laptop has one) is turned on.
- If possible, check for any hardware issues or loose connections by opening the laptop.
Reset Network Settings:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset.
- Click Reset now and restart your laptop.
BIOS/UEFI Settings:
- Check your BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure that the wireless adapter is enabled. Restart your laptop and enter BIOS/UEFI (usually by pressing F2, F10, ESC, or DEL during startup).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
