Hi @Johngrennier,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.

To help me understand the situation better, could you please share a bit more information?

 Please let me know:

  1. When did the WiFi disappear after an update, reset, or randomly?
  2. Do you see any wireless or unknown devices in Device Manager?
  3. Does the HP Pavilion 20 still show a WiFi option in the BIOS?
  4. Have you recently opened the computer or changed any hardware?
  5. Does Airplane Mode toggle appear in Windows?

1. Check if Wi-Fi is disabled in BIOS

Sometimes HP AIO systems disable the wireless card at the BIOS level.
Could you restart the PC, enter the BIOS/Setup, and look for any “Wireless,” “Network,” or “LAN/WLAN” settings and confirm they’re enabled?

2. Check Device Manager

Open Device Manager → expand Network adapters.
Let me know:

  • Do you see any wireless adapter listed?
  • Is there anything with a yellow warning symbol?
  • Or is there an “Unknown device” under “Other devices”?

This helps us know if Windows is detecting the hardware at all.

3. Show hidden devices

In Device Manager: View → Show hidden devices
Sometimes the adapter appears grayed-out if the driver is missing or disabled.

 4. Network reset

Go to:
Settings → Network & Internet → Status → Network reset
Restart afterwards.
This can fix corrupted network configurations.

5. BIOS reset

If you recently changed settings or had a power issue, a BIOS reset might help.

  • Restart → Enter BIOS by tapping on f10 → choose “Restore Defaults” .

6. Test with Ethernet connection

If you plug in an Ethernet cable, does it connect?

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster!
