I have been using my printer for several months with no problem. Today, the wireless light went off and there is no longer a wireless option in the menu. I have recycled the router, recycled the printer, unplugged and restarted the printer, reinstalled driver, nothing changes. How do I get wireless back?

@MirF, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

As I tried to explain in my post, "Network > Wireless > Wireless" was not an option on the menu. The "Wireless" option was entirely gone, only Ethernet was left. "Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings" did not fix this. The printer did not have wireless capability as an option anymore. There was no wireless icon, only a lan icon.

Ultimately, I had to connect the printer to the network via Ethernet cable. This alone did not fix the problem. I reinstalled all software on my PC, but could not turn on the wireless from the PC.  Eventually, I figured out how to turn on the wireless on the printer through one of the advanced menus. After doing this, I had to delete the printer from my PC and reinstall it. Then I was able to use it again.
