The mouse that came with the computer, MG-0856, is faulty and I have replaced it with model Z3200. Is ther any way that the existing dongle, RG-0862, be used to operate both the keyboard and the new mouse or must I now use the old dongle for the keyboard and the new dongle, model RXE, that came with the new mouse, for the new mouse?

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
IF you have the old dongle plugged in and the new mouse is not working, that answers your question.
I do know that in the case of some Logitech mice, they have something they call a Unifying Receiver that works with a variety of their mice and keyboards, but that is a recent development.
