i am trying to connect duel computers for my new work from home position and i can't connect the other network to my wifi because my networking options are set to private and i can't change the settings.

I see that you're trying to connect Dual Computer to a wireless network. 

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:

  • Is this first-time connection setup?
  • Are trying to connect HP notebook or HP desktop?
  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
