Ok a long story short im dealing with a customer who wishes to increase the specs of his tower...its a HP Pavilion P6 or P7 cannot remember for sure but the important thing i have is the part number for the exact motherboard 670960-001

I wish to upgrade the processor from an i3 processor.  I noticed in severel places and from physical examination it supports LGA1155 Intel processors.

What i need conformation on is weather that means any processor thats an Intel with the socket LGA1155 is compatible or wether it has only a certain list...as according to what im seing there are severel i7 processors that meet this standerd

I have to have 100percent certatinty about this fact as i would not want him to pay 140 150 quid for a proccessor that wouldnt work.

I did check the servicing manual for his model but the CPU catogary did not exist but i was happy to see it can handle 16GB of ram.

Thanks for your time
