HP Pro 600 G2
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

We have recently purchased 3 HP Pro 600 G2 PC's and are struggling to load Acronis True Image 2017 from USB in order to restore our Windows 7 PC image to them.

It will see the UEFI USB and give the option to load Acronis but then freezes on selecting True Image 2017.

We have many of the 600 G2 PC's running version 2.14 BIOS, these boot into Acronis with no problems and have had our image restored ot them.  But the latest 2.17 BIOS won't let us boot into Acronis and just freezes.  It pops up the menu to choose Acronis True Image 2017, but when selected the loading screen pops up with a solid white dash under and freezes (have left in an hour to see if it moves forward, when other PC's on 2.14 load acronis splash screen in seconds).  I've had a 2.14 BIOS PC and 2.17 BIOS PC next to each other and checked the BIOS settings are the same on both.

I tried to downgrade the BIOS but due to security upgrades in the BIOS it's not possible to downgrade the BIOS.

I've tried the forum suggestions regarding changing the boot security to enable legacy and disable secure boot (This was already set from comparing BIOS on 2 PC's).

I've downloaded the latest build of Acronis this morning and tried that but still the same.

I really don't want to have to build these PC's from scratch (1day vs 10 minutes), or start looking at moving away from HP desktops as we've got ready made images of all our HP models.

Any legend out there that can shed some light on the issue or offer a solution would be much appreciated!

thanks

Mark
