The first thing you should try is just doing a power reset on the monitor.
1. Disconnect the power from the monitor
2. Disconnect the cables from the back of the monitor to the computer
3. Reconnect the monitor back to the power
4. Connect the monitor to the computer
If that still causes it to present the problem try resetting to factory
1. Press the menu button to access the OSD (on screen display)
2. Use the plus and minus keys to navigate the menus and select Factory Reset
Use the monitor for a bit and see if the problem comes back.

Do you have an HP Computer? You should try running the monitor troubleshooting from the HP Support Assistant it will test the monitor and attempt to correct any wrong settings.
Did you also try a Factory reset on the monitor?

Have you tried changing the screen resolution. The monitor supports up to 1920 x 1080, but your video card may not and thus there is some conflict between the resolutions that are set. Your video card drivers may also need to be updated.

Hi. My resolution set is 1440x900, the same resolution for my monitor. I have a HP computer, that has installed a NVIDIA geforce 8600 GT. I don't know the maximum resolution of my video card, but i think is more higher than the monitor resolution. I had PC and monitor HP since four-five years, and this problem happened 2-3 days ago.
