Okay, so here is my dilemma:

I purchased an HP e9270T refurbished back in 2009.  Over time, I have upgraded my machine in various ways, a case with better airflow, a new psu, more RAM, etc.  And now, I was trying to update my Motherboard BIOS after a recent SSD install.

I found the link for the most recent BIOS update here:

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTy...

It keeps giving me an error saying incorrect patch or something along those lines, the actual message can be found here:

I got the motherboard model number right of of the board itself.

And apparently because I forgot to write the serial number down off of the old case, HP refuses to answer my question over the phone, even though I've given them every bit of information they could possibly need.

I jsut want a solution to my update problem,

I hope you all can help

Here are the original factory specs and configurable options for your HP Pavilion Elite e9270t CTO Desktop Computer and here are the specs for it's MSI MS-7613 (Indio) motherboard. Here is the HP Software & Driver Downloads page for your HP e9270t computer. There are no BIOS updates listed for your system.

The reason you are having issues installing the BIOS update you have downloaded, is because it is for one of several other MS-7613 motherboard's that are different. Different MS-7613 motherboards go by the names Indio, Inverness, and Iona. Please note that the BIOS is unique to each of these different boards.
