We have a mix of z800's and z820's. The ability to use Nvidia Maximus configurations is critical to us, however, we are unable to mount multiple Nvidia Quadro/ Tesla and/or Titan cards for GPGPU computing using the boards in the machines directly, or by installing a Cubix GPU Xpander.   For example, after installing a K5000 and Tesla K20c (in a z800) we get the error "Out of memory space for options ROMs" (see attached image)

Cubix recommends enabling this setting, and reports that it has worked for users of other HP workstations, but the option DOES NOT exist  in our BIOS setup menus:

Advanced -> PCIe/PCI/PnP  -> Above 4G Decoding -> Enabled

I have downloaded and installed the latest Firmware updates, but this does not fix the problem. We are running this firmware on the z820s

J63 v01.02

2.10.1208

Is there a version of the firmware that DOES allow "Above 4G Decoding"?

I haven't seen the option in F10 Setup. The error is related to the option rom space. So on;y way is to disable the option rom for the devices not required. You can go to F10 Setup > Advanced > Slot  Settings > Disabled for specific slot Option ROM. You can also hide some devices that you do not use such as NIC1 controller, SCU or SAS controller. You can disable "SATA/SAS/SCU  RAID Option ROM Download" in Advanced > Device Options if you do not use the specific device.

Your systme BIOS is very old. Please upgrade the bios to the latest one as well.
