Is there a BIOS updated for the Pavilion 6000 series ?

And if so  how do I tell which model I have? (6071 through 6085 and does it matter...)

Hello ShawnyD,

There is no BIOS update for the Pavilion P6000 series from what I can tell. You can always find driver updates that are available directly from HP by visiting this link.

With that being said, there doesn't appear to be much of a difference this time for which model you have as they all have the same drivers.

Sometimes it may matter as there is always some subtle differences between the versions (there has to be a reason to make a new version doesn't there!).

On your case you should have a label and that label should include information such as your model number. On some machines it's on the side others it's on the back or even some place it on the top.

See this link for help in finding the label and then identifying the model number.

Thank you HardBeatz

I've been up and down my P6000 and the only sticker says
Model#: WW640AAR#ABA
Serial#: -----------

I too could not find a BIOS update on most of the 7 P6000 series so assumed they all used the same BIOS.

For future reference the important information you will always want to provide is the model number. Please remove your serial number as that information could be sensative to you and your device. I am also going to ask a mod to remove the serial number so that it can be done quickly (whoever gets to it.)

Using your model number I was able to identify your product and you may want to keep it on hand in case you need it in the future.

Model Number: WW640AAR#ABA
Product Name : HP Pavilion p6520f Desktop PC
