Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂

I understand that you have an HP Pavilion m8000 Media Center PC and it freezes. You were informed an IT person to update the BIOS. And you have tried searching for the BIOS update and could not find one on the HP website. I'd like to provide more information about this case.

I did some research and found that this PC model is mostly not compatible with Win10 and therefore it could be freezing. I suggest you to go through this link to know more about the HP products tested with Windows 10.

This PC model was mostly released with Win Vista and therefore there are no updates available for the newer Win OS. Hope this answers your question.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Cheers! 🙂
