Those are symptoms of a problem with the disk-drive:
* not getting power;
* data-cable between disk-drive and the motherboard not connected (at one/both ends);
* corrupted "boot" records;
* dead electronics on the motherboard;
* the disk-drive no longer is "spinning" -- dead motor;
Reboot, and enter BIOS SETUP, to see if the disk-drive is listed immediately above/below the CD/DVD drive.
If not, the motherboard has not detected the disk-drive, or the disk-drive has not responded.
Reboot, and enter HP Diagnostics, and try to run the disk-drive "test".
Does it "pass", or what error-messages are shown?

your computer was manufactured in November 2009 (or maybe later).
My automobile's tires wore-out after 5 years, and needed to be replaced.
Your computer's disk-drive has lasted 7 years (2010 through 2016), and probably needs to be replaced.
