Windows 10 now. Now update where did my desktop items go. But if in email I can not get or attach any pictures ,folders .

I understand you cannot get attachments from the notebook of any kind to send in an email as they do not get recognized,

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

Did you perform a system restore if it had been working fine before?

Which application are you using to send emails, is it installed on your PC or is it via an internet browser?

I use a hp pavilion g7 notebook but upgraded to a 10. I have tried to through my email to get attachment off my laptop and can not get it to send .  I n email when you try to send something out the attach button on the screen does not do anything. even if i go to the fine an try to send to email, it does not do anything. Tried to copy an paste. drag over,right click. My computer use to send attachment before I upgraded to 10. I called cincinanti bell  and they said it was not on there end? I can send out emails but no attachments with it.

I use Cinn Bell /google . But that has not changed. I can open all my files /pictures. But can not send it to email. Or in email the attachment icon for my computer will not do anything. But icon button for email folders or anything in email files it will work.

I read the post comprehensively. Great effort and remarkable resilience displayed to try and correct the issue. Kudos to you for that and it is greatly appreciated. 🙂

 

Please try these steps.

 

Please try a different browser like Internet explorer or Microsoft Edge or Firefox if you are using Google Chrome.

Please reset the Google Chrome browser and check again,

If it still does not work uninstall google chrome and reinstall it and try again.

If you 're using a different browser other than google Chrome like Microsoft Edge, reset Edge and try again.

Please check with another browser like Firefox also.

 

Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.
