All
I am trying to wake on LAN from S5 (complete shutdown state) on some z230 and z440 workstations. I've gone through the BIOS and the network card driver, enabled WOL in the bios, made sure that the power settings on the driver looked good and the device could wake up the computer, and I still cannot seem to wake on LAN. I know that WOL is not blocked on the firewall because I used a WOL utility that ensured that the magic packet was making its way to the destination computer. The magic packet was received on the computers with no issues.
Is this maybe a power issue? What do I need to check?
Any help would be appreciated, I am really stuck on this one, thanks
