My Disk Drive won't work. Each time I try to play a DVD it keeps coming up with the message Region not recognised, you can only play DVD's from this region! What the hell does this mean? I always used to be able to play them with no trouble, however now, I can't play them at all.

I know for definite that I have not manually altered the Region thingy, how do I change it back so I can play DVD's? Its really annoying me now and I don't want to have to get a new laptop because of this.

If anyone knows how to do this and what I need to do, the instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

Hi,

Thanks for your response. However, I have done this and it is showing as I have no more changes left but I have never ever manually changed this in my life so I don't know why this has happened.

Is there any other possible way that I can play them on here? Below I see you mentioned rip the DVD, what does this mean and how would I do this?

Many thanks.
