I need a VISTA/WIn7 driver for the ATI ES 1000. This Download should be possible from this site:

https://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=wk_74757_1&lang=en&cc=us#tab1

But there ´s a problem: The Downloadlink on the page is dead.

Hello someone from HP-please fix this!

Hi:

This is a peer to peer forum.

HP maintains no official presence here, nor does this division of HP support server products anymore.

Servers are all supported by HP Enterprise HPE) division.

You can contact HPE at the link below and report the issue...

http://www8.hp.com/us/en/hpe/contact/connect-with-hpe.html

I looked everywhere for that file and can't find it.

But...I found this Dell driver for the same video adapter.

http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=K9X3V

Here is how I recommend you go about trying to install the driver.

Download and save the driver file but do not run it.

Then download and install this free file utility.  The 2nd file on the top of the webpage is for 64 bit.

http://www.7-zip.org/

Right click on the Dell driver you saved and select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.

Have 7-Zip Extract to:  and let it extract the file into its folder name.

Once that is done, go to the device manager and click on the video controller (or standard VGA adapter) needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder 7-Zip created.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and hopefully the driver will install.

Then restart the PC.

Here is a partial copy and paste of all the ATI ES 1000 hardware ID's supported by the driver...If your video card is one with one of these hardware ID's, the driver should work for it.

You're very welcome.

I agree.  That file is gone!

But hopefully the Dell driver will work.
