I am missing the audio driver for an HP compaq elite 8300.  I install the driver that is suggested (Realtek) but still no luck.  Any clue of what might be going on here?  I am currently running Windows XP Pro.  Thanks.

Hi:

Try the driver directly from Realtek.

Tried that.

Maybe you need to install the MS UAA bus driver first, then the audio driver.

Tried that too.  As a system tech I'm a little stumped on this one.  I never ran across an issue like this that is or should be easy.

Have you installed HD audio bus driver/patch/update?

You would need that if you intend to run win xp

I installed this morning with no such luck. Any other ideas? Also the PCI driver has an error.

If it is PCI simple communications then you might need to update the AMT sol driver along with chipset driver.
