I'm using MDT, which I'm new at, to image EliteDesk 8300 machines at work.
I've created images for several other HP models without any issues.
The 8300 one blue screened at the very end of the process.
I have wrestled it 3 falls or a submission and found that if I removed the USB 3.0 drivers from the Out of Box Drivers for that model then the image would load successfully but leave two devices missing. If I install the USB 3.0 drivers manually, post image it blue screens then lets me reboot and loads Windows fine. The USB 3.0 devices are installed but the ports are not functional.
I have tried ALL of the incarnations of the drivers for the chipset from Intel and HP
I have ensured the BIOS is up to date
I've tried adding extra steps in the Task Sequence to install the USB 3.0 drivers before the chipset and after it to no avail.
Has anyone got any suggestions? I don't even mind if it's a manual step post install that actually makes the USB ports at the back of the machine work....I don't even mind if they only have USB 2.0 functionality.
Hope someone can help please.
Ta.

Hi Beatgr,
Thanks for replying. I've checked and TPM is installed but not enabled.
Manufacturer IFX Manufacturer Version: 3.17 Specification Version: 1.2
Should I uninstall it? We don't use Bitlocker on the desktop PC's.
The PC's came with Windows 7 installed so there shouldn't have been any version 2.0 TPM
I will check the BIOS settings on the next EliteDesk 8300 that arrives on my desk to be rebuilt. I had to hand-build the one I had because the user needed it back. I created a thick image with the drivers included and saved the .wim file to MDT so I can deploy it that way if I can't fix this issue but it's not ideal.
Thanks again 🙂
