Hi all,
I seem to have a recurrent issue when using the Display Port on the ED 800G1. It is connected to a EliteDisplay E221c by a Display port cable.
Now several times a day the monitor with black screen for a few seconds return to normal then repeat two or three times.
I've updated to the latest BIOS, graphics and display drivers, reinstalled the OS, change the DP cable. Any yet it keeps happening. Is there a reason for this? It is exceptionally annoying.
Has anyone else come across this?
thanks
Kevin

Yes, we have two similar issues with the HP Elitedesk 800G1 SFF.
1) When connected to duel monitors (DVI cables going to HP DVI-Display port adaptor) the workstation will go to sleep, when you try to wake it, the monitors will not come back from sleep. Need to power the monitors off and on again to get the display to show. (HP LA2006x or LA2205wg monitors).
2) Again using duel monitors the screens will randomly go black, powering the monitor off/on will not fix the issue and the workstation needs to be power cycled to get display back. (HP LA2006x or LA2205wg monitors).
Troubleshooting that we have tried;
-Updating the graphics driver to version 15.33.22.64.3621 (Sate: 05.21.2014).
-Updated BIOS to Rev 2.30 (Date:29.05.14).
-Changing the display cables from vga - dvi.
-Changed the display port adaptors (They are genuine HP).
-Installed driver specifically for the monitor (HP LA2006x).
-Turned off the monitor (HP LA2006x) power saver mode.
Finally got a work around in place by setting the workstation to never go to sleep, it's not ideal and we occasionally get the random black screen happening that the workstation needs to be power cycled for.
Would like to know if there is a permanent fix so that we can set the power saving options back to something a little less intensive.
Thanks.

Hi Frosty,
I'd totally forgotten that I had posted this. The solution was in the end very simple, I replaced the cheap quality supplied DisplayPort cables with high quality ones. Never had a repeat of the problem.
