Envy 750-524
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Today I purchased an HP envy 750-524 with a samsung CF591 monitor. I got home and set everything up, but the desktop will not sinc with the monitor via hdmi to hdmi. I've tried two cables and neither of them work. I hooked my chromebook to the monitor with both cables and the both work perfectly. I used a flashlight to look inside the desktop casing for anything loose, and noticed a 4-pin  connector laying there, not hooked up. I looked a little higher and I see a spot for a 4-pin connector labled "atx_cpu". Could that be the issue? I'm not going to take my desktop apart, but if this is infact the issue, i will take it back and exchange. Hopefully there will be an easier fix though! thanks

Hi Johndoe2

Yes,you are correct, that is the problem. The PC will not boot without the four pin CPU connection.

Disconnect from AC power. Depress the power button to drain residual motherboard power.

The connector is keyed. It will only connect one way. You can make the connection or take it back if you are not happy.

Good luck

Grzy
