Hi

I have had this problem for a while now, my HP Support Assistant won't update. I then found a previous post which directed me to a link for the latest update, I then had to download manually as it couldn't do it automatically then it told me my system doesn't meet minimum requirements and gave me the error code 1602. Please help I would prefer to have some sort of support from HP on my computer.

Thanks

Michael M

For Desktop, here is the link to the latest HP Support Assistant software:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54501-55000/sp54931.exe

Please try to to download and install it that might resolve the problems.

I am an HP employee.

Vidya

This didn't work, I have already downloaded it before but just to make sure I redownloaded this link but the same error message. Is there anything else I can do?

I too have a problem downloading the latest version. Error 1602 says my system does not meet the minimum requirements Win 7 32 with plenty of available memory. I am currently using version 6.0.54 and it seems to be corrupted. I cannot find it in windows control panel/programs to delete. I can find a file on my c drive but am afraid to just delete and possibly cause more trouble.

Any advice?

Does anyone monitor this forum? I posted on May 22 and it is now 6/6.

Hi there.  Try updating HP Advisor first.  For my computer running Windows 7, 64-bit, it required the download and install of "sp46210.exe" - - that fixed my problem which was that HP Support Assistant would not run - - it just kep attempring to load.  It did not allow me to run the Support Assistant Update, however.  I still get the same error.

Thanks but that does not work.  Unfortunately no one from HP monitors this forum so you cannot get helpful advise.

I have tow separate problems

1. I cannot upgrade HP support assistant

2. I cannot install a CD I purchased from HP to upgrade a Officejet printer from Visa to Win 7. I paid for the CD and cannot install it. Hows that for HP service.
