We did a factory restore on our desktop and now it will not recognize any networks or that the network cable is plugged in.

The machine is an HP Pavillion a6683w running windows Vista basic.

No available NVIDIA LAN Driver from HP

 

     http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-a6000-Desktop-PC-series/3793920/model/38...

 

You have 2 options

 

(a) Order CD from HP using the above link,

(b) Download Driver and Chipset from the following link and install to your machine

 

       http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_vista_win7_32bit_15.49.html

I did the downloasd and install and it is still telling me there isn't a cable connected into the network adapter.
