Ive just got my laptop around 2 weeks ago and I've just tried to turn it on and it freezes in the start screen. On other guides it has told me to turn the computer fully off but I am unable to do that due to me having to access the main screen first

I would like to know whether you are able to go to the desktop screen or not? If yes, then follow the steps in the below article.
