Pavilion 570-p075na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi - I bought a 570-p075na from John Lewis because it seemed like a decent spec machine to start from. I swapped the 3TB HDD for a 500 GB SSD and ran some benchmarks on it - all pretty good apart from the graphics card (seems like a low end OEM card, ATI Radeon M5 RM430) which scored miserably. So can someone suggest a decent upgrade? I'm not a gamer but I do some video processing and music production. Don't need a high end card and don't really want to spend more than £100 or so. Not sure what my options are, what the mobo and PSU (and chassis) will support.

The link to my machine is https://www.johnlewis.com/hp-pavilion-570-p075na-desktop-pc-intel-core-i7-16gb-ram-3tb-amd-radeon-r5...

I think it's also this one http://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/HP-Pavilion-570-p000-Desktop-PC-series/13823514/model/15532149/d...

Thanks in advance.

@W1tchseason,

Unique inquiry?  Not really.

Your present system has the r5 435 Lo-profile card, draws <30 W.

Look inside, can  it accept a full profile card like this?  The RX 460 is only 75W.

Your PSU is only 180W, so you'll need an additional wattage , ONLY IF the RX 460 would fit.

Comparing the r5 vs RX

As your across the "pond", please do the pricing.  If you can use the RX 460,  I would suggest the Corsair CX500 PSU.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
