What did you "click", and what were you trying to do, to cause that "error 45" ?

Details, please.

Can you put a "data" CD-ROM into the optical drive?  Can it be read?

Can you put a "music" CD-ROM into the optical drive?  Can it be read?

Can you put a commercially-made DVD into the optical drive?  Can it be read?  Which program tries to "open" it?

When you open the Windows "Device Manager", do you see:

when you "expand" that branch of the "tree" ?  Or, something very similar?

Every version of Windows since NT/2000/XP/Vista has built-in device-drivers for DVD/CD devices.

So, every attempt to "update" those built-in device-drivers is a big waste of your time.
