Can I use an hp F5A28AA to connect a hp envy computer HDMI monitor output to 2010i LCD monitor DVI-D input? If so, where can I get the Documentation to make the connection work?

Hi @rontjet,
Good day.:) A very warm welcome to you. I came across the post regarding using HDMI converter on your DVI-D monitor. It will be a delight to assist you with this.
Superb description, and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. 🙂 Thanks for doing business with Hp.I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂
First off, the HDMI adapter in question is used for HP business notebooks and not desktops.
So it is not compatible with a desktop computer according to the compatibility list of the HP HDMI to DVI Adapter
Please use a different HDMI to DVI Adapter by looking it up on Amazon or eBay. Better still you could visit your local Best Buy or Staples technician and find out a compatible adapter for your computer
I have been honest about it without beating around the bush or sugar coating the fact that it is not compatible.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂 Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you. 🙂
