HDMI output connection to DVI-D monitor Input

Hi @rontjet,

Good day.:) A very warm welcome to you. I came across the post regarding using HDMI converter on your DVI-D monitor. It will be a delight to assist you with this.

Superb description, and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. :) Thanks for doing business with Hp.I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. :)

First off, the HDMI adapter in question is used for HP business notebooks and not desktops.

So it is not compatible with a desktop computer according to the compatibility list of the HP HDMI to DVI Adapter

Please use a different HDMI to DVI Adapter by looking it up on Amazon or eBay. Better still you could visit your local Best Buy or Staples technician and find out a compatible adapter for your computer

I have been honest about it without beating around the bush or sugar coating the fact that it is not compatible.

Hope this helps.  Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. :)  Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you.  :)

To simply say thanksplease click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.

If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles. :)

Take care now and have a splendid week ahead. :)
