Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP All-In-One PC. I am using a HDMI to VGA adapter to connect a second screen (old DELL monitor). The monitor is not being recognised by the PC. Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

Thanks

Hi,

HDMI uses digital signals and VGA uses analog signals. From digital to analog requires a conversion process. Does your HDMI-VGA support this process ?

Thanks for your reply Banhien.

I'm not sure but am suspecting it doesn't. I bought it off ebay for $5. It's a simple cable with HDMI at one end and VGA at the other. Sounds like I might need to purchase a better adaptor.

Hi,

I don't thing that cable can convert digital to analog. Please try a proper converter/adapter. I tested the following product:
