I just got a new HP 2009m monitor and it's supposed to have built in speakers. It makes no sound even on startup. Any idea what's wrong. Thanks, nizard16

How are you connected to the PC? What is the model of the PC?

Go through the steps on how to setup your monitor.

 

Make sure that you have connected the monitor audio cable from the computers audio out port or if using HDMI cable check in control panel > sound > play back is enabled. If using the audio cable in Control panel > Sound > Playback > Speakers should be selected.
