I also have this screen black-out issue, lasts about 2-4 seconds. Connected to an Mac Mini.....so I can't upgrade/change any graphics card.

As I Understand the HP 2009m monitor keeps turning off,

Don't worry, I'll be glad to help, however, I need a few more details to provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

have you tried an alternate monitor to check if it works without the blackout?

 

Check your graphics and power connections on both the PC and the monitor also.
