So, I have a monitor which I believe is an
HP - 27" LED HD Monitor - Black 27vx
That is hooked up to a macbook.
So, this is a serious problem to me. So, whenever I perform a few actions on the computer (I will list them below), some odd things happen. The screen will start to have small, black squares and rectangles flicker all over it. This only happens on my monitor, not on the computer itself. I've tried a few tricks, I've unplugged and replugged literally everything connecting to the monitor, I've factory reset it, I've messed around with basically every setting on it, and nothing changed. I've restarted the computer and edited some display settings as well, again, with no result. Here is a list of when it happens:
-When I fullscreen most of my games, most commonly Undertale and Minecraft. For Undertale, it will constantly happen, and for Minecraft, only whenever I fullscreen the game VIA the green window button (not the in game's fullscreen button).
-Whenever I finish typing in my username, password, and hit enter, the typing box will flicker the black squares, and the desktop will begin to load (it doesn't freeze, it just momentarily shows it).
-Whenever I click to new tabs on Safari the top of the window flickers white squares
-When I watch youtube it will randomly flicker white squares in the video
One note, I cannot unplug the cord connecting to my computer and plug it in in a different spot, as my computer only has one port for the display/airplay... thing.
I'm doing everything I can, but nothing works... Any help? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Riddle_Decipher is at your service.
As I understand there are multiple issues with the HP 27vx monitor and you need help with the same,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did the issue occur after the monitor was dropped or after any accidents as such?
Did you update the drivers for your monitor from the HP website, if the generic drivers aren't working?
Have you checked with a different monitor or an alternate cable?
While you respond to that, I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,
Please try an alternate monitor or simply a different cable to your computer, in order to understand if this is either a hardware issue with the monitor or a software issue with the MacOS,
if the issue does not appear on the alternate monitor, you may need to replace the monitor,
If the alternate cable works fine, simply replace the cable to resolve the issue,
if the issue appears on the alternate monitor/TV as well, re-install the graphics card drivers & update it from the official HP Website: Click here
If the issue occurred after an accident (such as dropping it on the floor, liquid spilled on it, etc.) there could be a hardware failure and in such cases, you may need to get the computer repaired via HP (there could be a charge involved if the PC isn't covered by the accidental damage protection plan)
Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.
If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,
Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" from the drop-down menu on the upper right corner,
Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum. Have a great day!
