Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have a HP 290 G3 SFF and I would like to install inside a low profile graphic card (an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050Ti or an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650) on PCI x16 slot.

I read in the manual that the PSU can deliver a maximum power of 180W, which is too low for the cards mentioned above.
I want to buy a more powerful PSU (300W or more) to install it.
Which PSU (reference) can you advise me please?
Thank you.

I looked for a bigger power supply but did not find one.  There are other volunteers here with more HP experience than i.

There is a problem even if a larger power supply is available.  The graphics boards you listed do not have external power connectors.  That means they have to draw all the power from the motherboard.  I suspect the board is not designed for higher currents to flow through the metal traces of the  PCB.  In or der to prevent damage to the motherboard a  graphics card with 6 or 8 pin power connector will be needed.  The only solution I can think of is to obtain a second power supply and buy a bridge that allows both to work at the same time.

I do not know your budget is but you might consider an investment that can be used later on with a better system .

Some ideas:

Blu-ray player/recorder and DVDfab ripping software
Second monitor and stand for the pair.
Entry level network attached storage such as Synology
Cheap Wi-FI "critter" or "spy" camera and Blue Iris software.

I did find a reference to a 300 watt for what it is worth but it is G1 and not SFF

I have no idea if it fits.
