I just bought a HP Compaq 6200 pro sff with an i5 and 4 GB RAM. There is no gpu installed. I’m wondering if the motherboard will provide enough power for a GTX 750 ti (it needs 60W). I red that the motherboard only provides 25W on the PCI-E 16x slot.
So, will the GTX 750 ti work on the 6200 pro sff?

Hi,
The NVIDIA GTX 750 TI model will draw 55-80 watts depending on the model. Some models will require an auxillary PCI-E six pin power connector. All of the NVIDIA GTX 750 TI models require a 300 watt power supply as the minimum power supply wattage size as specified by the graphics card manufacturer.
The other issue is the BIOS level that your PC is using. Some NVIDIA 750 models have been known not to work in many of the older PCs.
The Compaq 6200 pro SFF requires low profile graphics cards.

Hi,
You said in your first post that the PCI-E slot only supplies 25 watts. Post your information that indicates the PCI-E slot in your PCI-e x16 slot only supplies 25 watts. It's a moot point anyway since the graphics card manufacturer requires a 300 watt PSU with a PCI-E x16 slot that supplies 75 watts.
I would not choose the NVIDIA GXT 750 ti for the Compaq pro SFF based on the information that you have posted.

Well I have tried that, when going into BIOS I find the section to set the primary VGA adapter and it ONLY allows me to set the on-board graphics.
AS another person suggested in a thread I started, I believe what could be going on is the video BIOS for the card only supportds UEFI BIOS, which my PC does not have.
I'll probably be sending back the card.

go smoothly , but must be deselected in bios pawer manager. then the motherboard will distribute the video card up to 90W . I'm not talking stories . I own a similar system and I gtx 750 video card installed your low profile
