Hi all,
I was going to test it using a 450W PSU that I have inside an Antec Lifestyle Overture II case which I purchased for next-to-nothing a good few years ago at a car boot sale (or for those of you in the USA, a swap meet) in unused condition. But I see that the internet is covered in bad reviews for this cases's native PSU (450W SmartPower 2.0 or SLP-450WR). I'm not overly keen on using it if there's a chance it could cook my 8000 Elite, but I'll perhaps give it a go sometime soon when I can be bothered to dig to the back of my garage to find it.
I'll keep you posted.

Fortunately for me, psus tend to fry or at least misbehave before doing any real damage to the mboards they are connected to. Your love for your 8000 is justified nevertheless . I would only upgrade my system at this time for a 8300 with an I7 3770.

When i turn in the psu, the cpu fan start to spin, and a little time, at full speed.
The other problem is, my keyboard shows that it turns in(maybe)(the 3light flash green for a second), but the monitor not showing anything 😞 (not even the memory count or motherboard type, nothing 😞 )
Can someone help me ?

If you fall back to the HP psu, does everything run ok? Do not add any graphics card yet.
Using just the power cable - I mean outside the pc case and not connected to anything, short PS_on and any ground on the new psu (use a paper clip or similar). See if the psu fan runs for at least 10 min. If it does, leave it on and check all voltages with a volt meter. Needless to say, recheck your wiring. And if you still can´t find a culprit, remember that there is a hit or miss factor when it comes to selecting a suitable psu.
My first psu would also power on the pc only for a few seconds before shutting down. I don't remember if the monitor displayed anything. Next I added 20w resistors to the 5 and 3.3 volt rails, but that would only make the pc run until I get to the desktop before shuttinh down. At that time I gave up on my expensive 650w psu and almost gave up on the whole thing.

I had check schematic in page 8 and my elitedesk G1 SFF fortunately has the same. But i search on google in ATX PSU the PWR_OK has voltage out is 5v, can i re wired it to P2 PWR_GOOD in HP motherboard, i had check the volatge on it and it has value is ~ 3.3V.
Thanks
