Is there anyway I can change the file from a HP Connected Music File to a MP3/MP4 file??? You can only download purchased songs from Google Play Store twice. Downloaded songs and I can't even burn them to a cd... What sense does this make? Help Please.

Hi kwool85,

The HP Connected Music software application doesn't have a proprietary file format. It supports playback for most popular music formats: MP3, WAV, WMA, and more; but it does not have its own special audio file format. What is the exact file extension on the files you're referring to?

If you're using HP Connected Music to rip (encode) CDs, it saves your music files as either FLAC (full quality/lossless storage and playback) or AAC (lossy storage/compresses files, for use on portable devices). Most programs should be able to burn FLAC files to an audio CD. AAC is a little trickier.

I bet you have HP Connected Music set as the default app to open music files on your computer. If you want to change that, right-click on a music file, move your mouse pointer to Open with, and then click Choose default program. Select the app you want to use from the list of options.

What software are you using to try to burn the CD?
