My HP EliteDesk 800 G2 has 3 output display interfaces at the back: 1 VGA and 2 DisplayPorts.

I have succeeded in displaying on 2 screens: 1 DP out to HDMI in screen + 1 VGA out to VGA in screen

Now I am trying  1 DP out to HDMI in screen + 1 DP out to HDMI in screen  and it seems only 1 of the screen can be active at a time.

Is this a hardware limitation or just some misconfiguration?
