Hi there,
I have an HP L1706 monitor, which yesterday just decided to stop working.
When it is switched on, the screen fails to come on, and the green light by the power button just keeps on flashing continually.
Does anybody know what this problem is, and do you have any ideas in relation to solving this issue?
Many thanks.

I've had two of these monitors do the same thing. They're garbage now. I see HP is a real help here. :)) Had a buddy worked for HP...had to get out. They treat there employees the same way they treat there customers. :))

I have 21 HP2200 CPU with Firepro 3D graphics V3800 video cards that my HP 1740 monitors plug into. I'm using Dinex nd Belkin adaptors for the cords. The company forgot to install the video driver. The monitors are 4 years old. Have had no problems in the past years. In two weeks, 9 monitors have gone out with a blinking green light being displayed. I took one monitor apart and found 2 1000/10v capacitors fried.
What's up?

I have a HP L1906 that was having the same issue with the blinking green light and a blank screen and here's what finally solved the problem: unplugging and plugging back in the power cord on the back side of the monitor.
Before the problem was resolved, I went into the Control Panel (Windows 7) and could see that the screen was detected. I also tried unplugging and plugging back in the power cord at the surge protector and unplugging and plugging the video cable from the back of the desktop computer, but neither of those changed anything.
