HP M27fwa FHD Monitor
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I selected the monitor as my sound source.  I can hear the sound, but there is no way adjust the volume.

How do adjust volume on the monitor?  the volume up and down are grayed out in the volume box on my mac.   There are no buttons on monitor at all for volume adjustment. Please help 🙂

Hello @kdur .

From what I see in the specs of the HP M27fwa FHD monitor it does not have speakers/speakers:

It does have speakers. I can select them, and hear them. I just cannot adjust the volume. There are no buttons anywhere to adjust volume. It has buttons to adjust all the other settings, just not that.

read the document carefully
if it is mentioned how to connect the cables
I didn't see a volume button mentioned.
it might be in the OSd menu, but I couldn't find anything for audio either
If you have tried all the options, it is possible that the monitor is just designed so that the audio is set to the maximum, but only adjustable by the computer..
