HP Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Truthfully I can't remember I was traveling exhausted and bit overwhelmed
Tried opening HP Notebook from sleep mode when I got in hotel and nothing would open/close or restart

So many error messages so I attempted to back up to disc would not allow, would give error indicating could not download and this is after I would be prompted tp back-up but could not.  Finally I thought I was restoring to a date and fell asleep with notebook in bed with me and there was a screen not with an error message. Is there a method to restore files once computer goes back to Factory settings?

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

I understand you need assistance in restoring the files back to your PC after a factory reset,

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

What is the product number of your product? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

Did the system restore successfully get you back to a working date?

In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned on this link to initiate a backup of your files: Click here

If you plan on resetting the computer back to factory defaults, Click here for instructions.

Please reply with the details for further assistance.
