Example: Pavilion 6654y
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When windows 10 was installed the dvd drive did not exsist  or work.    i was told that HP did not upgrade the drivers for my unit  HP Pavilion p6654y Desktop PC  to be compatiable with windows 10.    I would like to find out if the issue still exists  or can i migrate to windows 10.  Thank you all for your kind assistance  and quick response.

Hi:

HP will provide no driver support for any PC made before August of 2013.

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05195282

Your PC's release date was 06-Aug-2010.

Now if that was the only problem you had when you upgraded to W10 the last time, and you want to give W10 another try, you may want to go through the resolution steps at the link below, should the DVD drive turn up missing again.

Normally, Resolution #6 takes care of the non-existing DVD drive.
